The municipality of Sračinec (4,714 inhabitants in 2001, 3,725 in the town of Sračinec) is located 10 km north-east of Varaždin.

Flag of Sračinec

The symbols of Sračinec are prescribed by Decision Odluka o izmjenama i dopunama Odluke o opisu i uporabi grba i zastave Općine Sračinec, adopted on 13 December 1995 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 30 December 1995 in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Županije Varaždinske, No. 21. The short-lived, former symbols were slightly amended, the color of the dragon being changed from yellow to red.

The public competition for the design of the symbols was announced without any further conditions mentioned expect the deadline, 18 August 1994 (Varaždinske vijesti, 10 August 1994). The municipal administration planned to have the final design of the symbols by the municipality Day, 29 September (Varaždinske vijesti, 15 February 1995).

The flag is in proportions 1:2, red with the coat of arms, without any border, covering a quite large part of it offset to hoist.

The coat of arms of Sračinec is "Sable a St. Michael or wings displayed standing on a dragon gules piercing it with a spear in his sinister and holding scales".

The former symbols of Sračinec are prescribed by Decision Odluka o opisu i uporabi grba i zastave Općine Sračinec, adopted on 30 August 1995 by the Municipality Assembly and published the same day in Službeni vjesnik Županije Varaždinske, No. 14.

The flag is described in Article 3 as follows:

The flag of the Municipality of Sračinec is rectangular in shape; set so that the ratio of its width to its height is 2:1.
The flag's field is red.
In the flag, the coat of arms of the Municipality of Sračinec is set in the left part of the flag so that the axis of the coat of arms is 0.60 from the hoist and 1.40 from the fly end, equally distant from the top and the bottom.
On the averse and the reverse is set the coat of arms of the Municipality of Sračinec.

The coat of arms is described in Article 3 as follows:

The coat of arms of the Municipality of Sračinec is the adopted figure of St. Michael, the patron saint of the parish and of the Municipality of Sračinec.
In a semi-circular black shield a golden figure of St. Michael clad as a soldier holding a spear in his left hand and scales in his right hand. Beneath him lies a golden dragon.
