Local Council Oranit (meaning of pine) situated on the western slopes of Semaria Mounts, SE of Petakh Tiqva, north of Rosh HaA'yin, and south of Hod Ha'Sharon and Kefar Saba. It was established in 1983 by a private enterprise by Delta Company and first inhabitated in 1985. It bacame a Local Council in 1990. It has 4,000 inh. Its name comes from the pine woods in the western side of the Local Council.
The unofficial flag is a logo-on-bedsheet. Here on white but probably used on other backgrounds as well.

The emblem of Oranit has not been formally adopted. Israeli municipalities in areas occupied since 1967 can't register their emblems. The reason is that those areas are not legally part of Israel and according to international law they are governed by decrees of the military commander of the areas. Many Israeli laws are in force in those municipalities when adopted there by the military commander, but the Symbols/Emblems Protection Act of 1974 is not one of them.
