Description of the flag

Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) is the national-level trade union affiliated with the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Its flag is red, charged with large hammer and sickle in centre and the initials CITU inscribed vertically along the hoist, as specified in Article 2 of the Constitution [1, 2]. The shape of hammer and sickle varies greatly, and so does the typeface, as well as the shade which, typically for Indian Communist flags, varies between R and R+ [3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9].
