On this site, I found a picture including a flag I had previously seen in 1999/2000. The flag on the right of the SCG Members Stand is above the visiting team's dressing room. In this case, the visiting team is India, and the flag must be the flag of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It is a dark blue-yellow-light blue horizontal tricolour, with the BCCI emblem (see http://www.bcci.tv/ ) based on the Star of India in the centre. I think that on at least one occasion in the 99-00 summer, it was flown on that flagpole under the Indian national flag.

I've been watching the second cricket test between New Zealand and India, and there was a clear image of the flag in the background, from which I made this image. Note that I am uncertain of the length of the flag - it appeared to be longer than 2:3, but not as long as 1:2, so I have made the image 3:5. Similarly, the colours may not be 100% accurate, as the flag was backlit. In fact, it initially appeared to be purple, saffron, and grey, though all other reports suggest deep blue, rich yellow, and light blue. In other words, the image isn't perfect, but it's pretty close. The central emblem is the Star of India.
