Description of the flag

The recently emerged political opposition party in the forthcoming presidential election in the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken green as its totemic colour, and -- curiously enough -- waves a flag apparently identical to that of Libya, a solid green rectangle, as its party flag. A recent television report (Thursday, June 11) on the US television network CBS showed the plain green flags, and also, indistinctly, smaller flags with a white design on a green field. The design, seen only fleetingly, somewhat seems to resemble the crossed-swords diamond-shaped emblem on the Saudi state flag, but larger and centered on the green field. Does anyone have more information on this?
