Overview

CasaPound Italia (= CasaPound Italy, sometimes abbreviated CPI)

CasaPound is a neofascist social center, founded in 2003. It is now one of the most active and visible organizations of the extreme right in Italy, particularly in Rome. The name refers to American philofascist writer Ezra Pound. CasaPound contested the February 2013 elections, but received only 0,13% of the votes and thus no seat.
The flag is definitely Nazi-inspired, showing a black-white symbol on a red field [1,2,3,4,5]. The symbol is a stylized tortoise, its symbolism explained in a lengthy text on CasaPound's website [6]: longevity and the ancient Roman tactic of the "testudo formation" are two of the references.
