The village emblem was adopted on Sep 1st 1972 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana てん Ten of Tenei. The circle stands for a reconciliation, a happiness and a peace of the villagers, the inner white space for Hatori Lake, the lower shevron for Mt. Futamata. It represents the nature of the village such as forest and lake and an unlimited soar.
