Ukrainian vexillologist Sergiy Besh messaged me that the Male City Council in the Maldives changed its city flag recently. According to https://maldivesnewsnetwork.com/2021/11/27/male-city-council-unveils-new-logo-mayor-calls-for-housing-in-gulhifalhu/, the logo and flag were updated on November 27, 2021. The flag, which is their logo on white, can be seen at the first link and also at https://www.facebook.com/MaleCity2014/photos/3810168065774980/.

The flag of Malé, the capital of Maldives, is white with the city logo, without (photo) or with (photo) text to the right of the logo.

It is of note that the old city flag was in use from 2019 to 2021, as per the Facebook page of Publicity Bureau, the creative agency based in the Maldives, who designed the previous logo for the MCC.

Addu (33,694 inhabitants in 2013), a city island, was established in October 2017 following a referendum.
According to official results, of 26,676 people who participated in the referendum, 8,402 voted in favor of the proposal while 16,695 voted against it. However, of the six islands in Addu Atoll where voting took place, citizens of Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Maradhoo-Feydhoo and Hulhudhoo endorsed the proposal, while islanders of Feydhoo and Meedhoo rejected it.
