No Flag

It appears that Rosario does not use a flag, as I was not able to find one in the municipal building and outside.

Coat of Arms

In 1998, during the term of Municipal President Andrés Benjamín Cuamea Clark, the municipal chronicler Julio César Clark Carabeo petitioned at a council meeting for the creation of a coat of arms. In the end, the coat of arms designed by Municipal Secretary Juan de Dios Montiel Mendoza and Municipal Treasurer Arnoldo Peñúñuri Clark was approved by the council. Description as provided by the chronicler:

1. In the central part of the coat of arms appears the map of the municipality of Rosario, likewise the image of Sr. Francisco Acuña Arreola, who was the first Municipal President, when in the Population of Ures, Sonora, this place was decreed as a Municipality the 18th of October of 1870.
2. In the upper left appears an ear of corn, one of sorghum, one of land to cultivate and a cow, representing the principal activity which the Municipality of Rosario lives.
3. In the upper right, visible are the images of the Tesopaco Hill (Municipal seat of Rosario), and a pick and axe, tools which represent the mining activity which develops in the Mine named "El Volcán" which is exploited in the Ejido Cedros.
4. In the lower left part a church is shown, that of which is the oldest in the Municipality, located in the Nuri Commissary, founded in 1622 by the missionary Diego Vandersipe.
5. In the lower right a tree named "teso" is represented, which dominates in the lower part of the Municipality, also appearing is a deer which is found in abundance in the same, furthermore a pine tree is found, from the upper part of the municipality where it adjoins with the state of Chihuahua; finally the image of an eagle appears representing this bird which lives in the upper part of the Municipality of Rosario.
6. To the sides of the coat of arms the following phrase is written: "Tus hombres trabajan haciendo producir la tierra [Your men work in making the land produce]", representing this phrase the continuous strength of the Rosarenses for achieving a better development of the municipality.
