Municipality of Meppel Shipmate Flagchart : http://www.flagchart.net

This is the old flag of Meppel. The cloverleaf stands for the meadows in the vicinity and the blocks are 'turven' (blocks of peat), which were exploited here in not too distant times.
Jarig Bakker, 5 August 1999.
