Coat of Arms

[COA of Moland]image by Tomislav Šipek, 29 January 2016

Blazon: I blått en sølv dobbeltsparre. In English: Azure a double chevron argent.
(I was reluctant to literally translate the "dobbeltsparre" as double chevron, but eventually found an example of such in French blazon of Montreff.)
Approved by the royal resolution of 7 January 1983 after a drawing by Oddvar André Enggav. [c2j87]
The blue stands for the sea. Three points of the double chevron stands for three previous municipalities - Stokken, Flosta and Austre Moland. The double chevron also spells out the letter M.
