Poczesna - rural commune, Częstochowa County, Śląskie Voivodship.
Gmina Poczesna is a rural gmina (commune) in Częstochowa County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Poczesna, which lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of Częstochowa and 53 km (33 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice.
Area: 60.13 sq.km (23.2 sq.mi); Population: 12,490 (2006).
First mentioned in 1578 as a village of the Crown Estate. During WW II annexed to the III Reich.

Arms and flag adopted on September 19, 2002 (resolution # 219/XLII/02).
"Arms: foundry furnace, fired, above it is a horseshoe and two hammers, crossed. Below are blue and white waves symbolizing river Warta.
Flag: on a red field, foundry furnace, horseshoe and two hammers, crossed."
