Coat of arms

Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent and semy of corn cobs Gules leaved Vert , in honour point a torteau charged with a Paschal Lamb. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "S. JOÃO DE LOURE".
Meaning:
The Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, local patron saint and name giver of the commune.

hield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Azure, a pillory Argent topped by an armillary sphere of the same topped by a Latin crosslet of the same, flanked by a Maltese cross Argent at dexter and a heraldic fountain at sinister, in central chief an open book Argent superimposed by a sinister bendy pen Azure. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "FROSSOS - ALBERGARIA-A-VELHA"
