It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Coat of arms

Shield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Azure, scales Or balanced by a flamy sword Argent hilted Gules, in chief a grapevine Purpure leaved Argent at dexter and a bunch of three corn cobs Or tied of the same at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "PARADA - CARREGAL DO SAL".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.

Parada Commune is one of the five communes of the Carregal do Sal municipality (q.v.); it had 806 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 11.7 km².
