The shield is Argent three kegs Gules garnished Or set in fess between a bugle Purpure corded Sable in chief and a lamb Sable emphasized Argent in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "TALHAS".
"Talhas" means "kegs" (the old kind, made out of wood by a cooper, used for olive oil, pickled produce, cider, etc.) and they are shown in the arms (canting).

Talhas Commune is one of the 30 communes of Macedo de Cavaleiros Municipality; it had 316 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 43.6 km².
