Shield Argent, issuant from base a doublemount Vert, crowned by a throughout bridge Sable, masoned Argent and having three arches, in dexter chief a cross patty alisee Gules, in sinister chief a cross patty Gules charged with a Greek cross Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "AVELOSO - MEDA".
Meaning:
The crosses are referring to the Order of the Templars (at dexter) and the Order of the Knights of Christ (at sinister).
