It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red background (village rank).

The arms are Or a pine tree Vert eradicated of the same flanked by two ears of wheat Gules and in base a heraldic fountain. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "FREGUESIA DE MIRA".
