Shield Azure, issuant from base wavy Argent and Azure of four orders a bridge Argent masoned Sable, in chief a sword Argent hilted Or flanked by two maize ears Or leafed Argent, all set in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ÁGUA LONGA - SANTO TIRSO".
Meaning:
The phrase "água longa" means "long water" and its meaning in Portuguese is as unclear in current Portuguese as it is in English; the base wavy of the arms could be canting for this, though. Both probably stand for the Leça River.
