Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a pair of scales Azure garnished Or balanced by a sword flament of the same in pale, issuant from base a mount Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "S. MIGUEL DO OUTEIRO".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, local patron saint and name giver of the commune.

São Miguel do Outeiro was one of the 14 communes of Tondela Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 913 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 10,38 km².

Coat of Arms

Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from waves a bridge Argent masoned Sable with three arches. On chief an impending Marian crown Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "".
Meaning:
The crown is an attribute of St. Mary, being the local patron saint as Our Lady of Grievance. The blue barrulets wavy on base are representations of the Dão River and its confluence, the Eita River. The bridge is a representation of the local Roman bridge, a symbol of early peopling of the commune.
