Coat of arms

Shield Argent a grapevine eradicated Vert leaved of the same and fruited Purpure; the honour point is charged with the old emblem of the Benedictines, a cross patty Gules in a circle of the same; in chief three oranges Proper, Tawny leaved Vert, ordered per fess; the whole surrounded by two wheat ears Vert crossed per saltire in base. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VILA DE FRADES".

Presentation of Vila de Frades

Vila de Frades Commune is one of the four communes of the Vidigueira municipality (q.v.); it had 928 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 25.6 km².
