The town of Zaječar adopted new symbols, arms and flag after a public contest. The flag is in proportions 2:3, blue with a decentered orange cross on blue, charged with the town's emblem.
The flag was designed by Nedim Hadžiahmetović, a sculptor from Negotin, with the following colour specifications:
- Blue: C 100 / M 100 / Y 0 / K 0;
- Orange: C 0 / M 50 / Y 100 / K 0.
