Description and meaning: In a scarlet field with a concave azure head encumbered by a silver peaked three-headed mountain (with an inscribed base and the middle peak of which is higher than the others), and above the silver and azure end, intersected in a wavy manner in the form of waves scattering from the middle to the edges of the shield, - the walking golden two-humped camel is on guard. The composition of the coat of arms symbolizes the historical, natural, geographical and economic features of the Kosh-Agach region. It is based on the composition of the coat of arms, adopted in 2003. In the upper part of the coat of arms is a mountain symbolizing the three-headed peak Irbistu, Ulandryk and Kokorya, which symbolize the beauty of nature and the power of Altai land. At the end of the coat of arms is a symbolic image of the rivers of the region: Chagan, Aktru, Yalangash and Tarkhata, flowing into the Chuya river; as well as the Shawla, Yungur, Karagem and Koksu rivers flowing into the Katun River. The central figure of the coat of arms is a stylized image of a rare domestic animal - a two-humped camel, on the background of the Chui steppe. The camel in the coat of arms also symbolizes the main type of economy - animal husbandry. The camel pose on alert shows in the coat of arms the border position of the area on the Russian border with Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia.
