Flag of DeSUS

The party's Statutes specifies a flag in Article 2, as follows:

The name of the party is: DeSUS - Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia, with the acronym DeSUS.
The emblem of the party is oval and consists of a stylized green linden leaf on a blue background, and the abbreviation of the name written in white letters. The flag is white-blue with the party emblem in the white field.

The flag (photo, table flag) is not altered when used horizontally ( photo).

The party uses a variant of the flag, vertical and diagonally divided white-blue with the emblem rotated ~20 deg. and placed just under the diagonal, such that the word "DeSUS" is placed just below the blue edge. The part of the linden leaf protruding above it is thinly fimbriated in blue. The party's motto "Za vse generacije" (For all generations) is written in a scrawl-type font at the bottom edge, in white.

Emblem of DeSUS

The party's emblem is a blue oval with a green linden leaf, over which is the word "DeSUS" in white italics.

The linden tree and in particular the linden leaf are a Slovene national symbol, arising from a tradition of planting a linden tree at the center of village greens, beneath which common business would be conducted. The leaf was also the most popular symbol of the late 1980s independence movement.

There was an older flag (photo, table flag) in use as of late 2006, blue with the party's emblem in a thin white oval near the top. Table flags of this design moved the logo to the center and added the party name and URL; table versions of the current flag are identical to it.
