At the ETAN site logo and lettering that is probably a flag design; the 2007 elections official leaflet [t9l07] only the emblem is shown; the parliament website shows no emblem for this party.

The emblem is a green disc with large yellow letters "PR" set in serif capitals. The ETAN website image adds the party name bellow in green in serif capitals.

Party president João Mariano Saldanha described symbols and flag in a speech at 18th December 2007:

Therefore, the symbol of Partidu Republikanu is a man tying a scarf and blow a buffalo horn, which symbolizes the identity of the East Timorese. Blowing horn means to deliver a message or people's voice. Buffalo is a cattle that has social and economic values to East Timorese. It is a strong animal, which means that PR has power to undertake development. The flag is white with a green circle at the center and letters PR in yellow are written at the center of the circle. White means clean hearts and minds. Green means progress (development) and protection of environment. Circle at the center means target. PR letters in yellow means peace. Therefore, white flag, with green circle at the center with yellow letters at the center of the circle means that the Partidu Republikanu with clean hearts and minds undertake development with clear objectives in peaceful situation to achieve prosperity.
