The flag of Aydın (photo, photo) is blue with the municipality's emblem. "T.C." stands for "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti", "Republic of Turkey". "Büyükşehir Belediyesi" means "Metropolitan Municipality". The municipality successively used three sets of flags mostly differing by the font used for the lettering.

AYSO (website) started its activities in 1954 under the name of Aydin Branch of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry and became an independent Chamber of Industry on 1 January 2008.

ATB (website) was established on 6 September 1956 by the Ministry of Commerce, upon request of Hulusi Çakıçı, Osman Bestel, Sadık Candaş, Rüştü Şensoy and Mehmet Temiz. The organization was inaugurated on 10 October 1956 by its 93 members.

Aydınspor 1923 (Aydın Spor 1923 Kulübü) was established in 1923 as Aydın Belediyespor, managed by the municipality of Aydın. In 2009, the most famous club of the town, Aydınspor, winded up after getting bankrupted. Aydın Belediyespor was renamed as Aydınspor 1923 and adopted Aydınspor's emblem and colours.
