working in coordination with the Customs and Foreign Trade Regional Directorates
and their affiliated customs directorates, which operate as the enforcers of

scope of duty and authority.
Its flag is based on the national flag, but

A similar flag was already shown in National
Geographic (1917) [gmc17], but with a white orle.
Flaggenbuch (1926) [d9e26] shows the same flag, but in unsual proportions, 1:2. The crescent and star are quite different frome those used for the national and presidential flags in the same source. This was long before technical specifications were established for the flag (1936).

Other sources (Album des Pavillons [pay00], Znamierowski [zna99] and Pedersen (1971) [ped71]) show the flag with the white orle placed closer to the center of the flag.

The General Directorate of Customs Protection is a special law enforcement
agency responsible for controlling international transports to the country,
checking goods and passenger movements, and enforcing laws that prevent
economical losses due to smuggling offenses.
The Album des Pavillons 2023
illustrates the flag titled as ‘Customs Inspection’. Its flag is horizontally
divided red over white, with a wide green border all around.
