The flag is square, horizontally divided light blue-gree. The blue field is charged with a yellow church / monastery with yellow gates and windows. The green stripe is charged with a white wavy line surmonting a white rabbit flanked by two curved wheat spikes.

"Shield per fess by azure and vert. In the first field is or church, in the second field is argent hare accompanied by argent wavy barrulets above, and by the two or ears ar the sides. The arms is edged by decorative cartouche and decorated by a rural crown.
The church is a symbol of village name occurrence. The hare is a sign which was met by the first settlers. The barrulet symbolizes small river Gnylytsya, ears mean agriculture."

The Village

"It is known since XVII century. In 1800 village inhabitants have bought Peter and Paul's wooden church in the district center and have put it at itself. By it village received Petropavlivka name."
