Description of the flag

The Maryland National Guard comprises those elements of the Army National Guard and Air National Guard that fall under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Adjutant General and the Maryland Military Department. On the Army National Guard side, this includes the 58th Troop Command, the 58th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, the 70th Regiment, and the Combat Aviation Brigade of the 29th Infantry Division, while the Air National Guard component consists of the 175th Wing and its subordinate fighter, airlift, intelligence, cyber operations, and support squadrons.

The colors of the Maryland National Guard can be seen in photographs online, particularly at www.army.mil and www.md.ngb.army.mil. The flag features the should patch of the Maryland Army National Guard centered on a dark blue field. The circular patch contains the shield from the Maryland state coat of arms on a black ground encircled by a gold ring.
