Description of the flag

I asked the town about its flag and was emailed this reply: "Attached is our City flag. The flag was drawn by a local woman, Lisa Gibbs, in 1993, and it's to represent what Stockton stands for. Namely, our Stockton Creek that has a splendid trout population. The woods around Stockton are plentiful with oak, birch, maple and pine. At the time in 1993 we had decided to place flagpoles up at City Hall, when it was noted we didn't have one for the City itself, and that's how it came about. The Council got 4 designs, voted it down to 2 and let the public choose which one the City went with."
