Hasbrouck Heights is a borough in Bergen County, in the northeastern part of New Jersey, and is considered a suburb of New York City. The borough was created by the New Jersey Legislature in 1894, and is named after J.D. Hasbrouck, one of the founders of the New Jersey and New York Railroad.

The flag of the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department can be found in a few photographs online, including photo 1 and photo 2. The flag features the Department's shoulder patch centered on a dark blue field. Above the patch are the words "HASBROUCK HEIGHTS" in gold capital letters, while the words "POLICE DEPARTMENT" appear in similar letters below the patch.
