Bluffdale

Bluffdale, named for its geography of bluffs and dales, was first settled in 1848–1849 (other source mention 1847), when the area was originally part of West Jordan and was the result of the petition sent by the Mormon pioneers who had settled in the valley of the Great Salt Lake. As the community expanded, the Bluffdale area became part of South Jordan, then Riverton. For a short time, the town was called Mousley. The official date of foundation is 1886.
The city was incorporated on October 13, 1978 with a voting result of 239 in favor and 50 against, voting held on September 19, 1978.

Description of a possible flag

The city of Bluffdale, Utah, has informed me that it does not have a flag.
Valentin Poposki, 1 October 2009

The flag is basically an iteration of the logo as illustrated by the Style Guide with Signs (2020)

I wasn't able to confirm that the image of the flag shown at the designer's website was an actual flag. It looks like a CGI mock up, which is often made by designers. My email to the city clerk wasn't answered. Also, I think that if the logo is on a flag, the background would be white, not grey.

In 2017 the city underwent a branding implementation, which included among others, City brand identity, logo, style guide, stationery system, signage, apparel (and) vehicle wraps". This was devised by KorCreative, now part of REDKOR since 2013.
