The current flag is a blue field with some kind of device or logo in the
center. it appears to to show the word "VIKINGS" in blue sporty like font with
white outlines. Underneath it is a white banner that says "HOME OF THE VIKINGS",
the local high school team. Two white uneven encircling lines appear behind the
text and banner. Above the Vikings word is not very clear, it could be a
yellowish banner with blue flowers overlying it. Underneath this device is the
city name in white.
I couldn't find too much about the flag, I suppose it
was adopted between 2007-2013 judging by Google streetview captures.
It
could also be a high school banner which is what Danville uses and Chapmanville
used from 2008 until the adoption of its current flag in 2022.

Fixes are needed for the text of "VIKINGS" and the
upper right seal.

The seal of Ripley is consists of a rope ring followed by two regular rings. Between the two rings from the clock angles of 10:30 to 1:30 clockwise direction is the city name and the incorporation date starting 7:30 to 4:30 counterclockwise direction. The state name is inscribed under the city name, and above the incorporation date is the word "INCORPERATED" [sic]. Both use similar clock angles to the other two texts. In the center is the outline of West Virginia with a star displaying Ripley's location within the state.

The logo of Ripley is the city name in dark blue. Above above the name to the left side is a half circle of what appears to be a wheat circle. In front of it is the clock tower that was located at the city hall, and an American flag. Next to the American flag is the incorporation year.

The first flag of Ripley is a white field with a blue diagonal bar starting
in the upper hoist and ending at the bottom fly. Some unintelligible text is
seen on the bar, though it most likely says the city's name. On ether side of
the bar is what looks like two circular emblems.
Like the current flag,
not much is known about its adoption date, nor its relinquishment date.
