Throughout their history, the Redskins have won division championships 14 teams (1936, 1937, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1945, 1972, 1983, 1984, 1987, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015), won the conference championship five times (1972, 1982, 1983, 1987, and 1991), won two NFL Championships (1937 and 1942) and three Super Bowls (Super Bowl XVII in 1982, Super Bowl XXII in 1987, and Super Bowl XXVI in 1991), and appeared in the playoffs 24 times.

The Redskins franchise is based in the Washington, DC, area and play their home games at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

Note: Be aware that there are a host of manufacturer variants of these and other fan flags being marketed for "Redskins" fans. This includes garden flags, banners, and pennants.

Official flags

There are two flags used by the Washington Redskins organization at the football games. The flags are carried on the field and used to introduce the players prior to the game, then are carried on the sidelines during the game to keep the crowd engaged and cheering.

This flag is a cross between a Washington Redskins fan flag and Star Wars fan flag. A similar flag is being made for most NFL teams. The flag has a profile of Star Wars villain Darth Vader on the hoist and the team's logo on the fly. In between are the words "YOU UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE" in one of the team's primary colors on a field of another of the team's colors, with the result being a vision of Darth Vader saying "You underestimate the power of the [NFL team name]."
