Nalbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, on top of a mount Argent issuant from base and charges with a bar wavy Azure, a cross treflee (or botonny) Argent flanked by four 6-point stars of the same.
Meaning:
The cross is the heraldic representation of the cross on the Litermont hill, shortly in German the Litermontkreuz (see this photo). The tinctures are those of the Archbishopric of Trier. The mount is a representation of Litermont hill, the bar wavy of the Prim River, connecting all villages in the Nalbach Valley. The stars are representing the former municipalities Nalbach proper, Piesbach, Bilsdorf and Körprich. Stars as representation had been chosen, as they were taken from the seal of the Stift of St. Simeon in Trier.
