The council of 2018-2021 used a municipal flag, white with the municipal coat of arms centered upon it. However, I have not seen this flag in recent administrations; I am unsure if it is still used today.

The coat of arms of Angostura was adopted on 1 September 1972, being designed by the painter Celestino Herrera. Above the shield is the sun as a symbol of life, bearing the year 1916 which is when it became a municipality; it also carries on a white stripe its name. In the center of the shield is a curved, brown stripe, bearing garbanzo being germinated for agriculture and a drop of water that symbolizes the Mocorito River and waters. To the left is a shrimp over four waves representing fishing and the coast the municipality has, and to the right a wild boar for hunting as a sport. Below is an image of a valley, representing the environment. To the sides of the shield, there is an ear of wheat on each side, another primary agricultural product of the area.
