The flag of Orhangazi (photo) is white with the municipality's emblem in the middle. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality". The former flag of Orhangazi (photo) was white with the municipality's former emblem in the middle.
The emblem of the municipality portrays Sultan Orhan I, the founder of the town.

Quoting the Ministry of Culture and Tourism:

Orhan Gazi ben Osman (1281-1362) was the 2nd Ottoman sultan (1326-1362, at the time, titled Bey or Emir). Like his father, Osman I, he conquered many places and is known for his charitable acts and liberality. He took Bursa in 1326, the date of his father's death, and made it his capital.
Henceforth, he minted silver coins, which will be called "Akça", in his own name when he was about 33 years old. He made his brother, Alaeddin Pasha, his Grand Vizier, and he also appointed Süleyman Pasha, who crossed over to Roumelia as Vizier and Serdar (commander-in-chief).
Although his hair had turned gray, he had an imposing appearance with his strong and well-built body, his high and broad chest, thick calves and hands like Iion's paws. His complexion was of a reddish-white hue and his eyebrows were joined together like a crescent. He had hazel brown eyes, a wide forehead, a ram-nose, a well-shaped beard and a long thick moustache.
