On 1 January 2006 Lully merged with the communes of Bollion and Seiry (see below).
The star-shaped devices on the emblem are spur wheels. They are adopted from the emblem of the former Lords of Font and Molière. It appears also in the emblems of the Fribourg communes of e.g. Châbles, Châtillon, Estavayer, Font, Ménières or Murist.
Pally of Eight Or and Gules, overall on a Fess Argent three Roses Gules barbed and seeded proper.
