Meaning:
The dexter part of the mantle displays the original family arms of the Counts of Wied from 1218, the sinister half those of the Archbishopric of Köln. Until 1803 the village was parted between both. The mount is symbolising the fact that the municipality has the highest elevation above sea level of the whole county. The golden tincture is symbolising agriculture, the green one riches of forests. Waldbreitbach Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a demi millwheel issuant Argent; mantled, at dexter Or a belfry issuant Gules, at sinister Argent a cross patty Sable.
Meaning:
The visible landmark of the community is the belfry of the Catholic parish church, which has been a protected monument since 1983. The tower with a pointed spire was built in the 13th century. From 1260 until its dissolution in 1809 the Teutonic Order maintained a commandery in Waldbreitbach, which was also the seat of an order´s Comtur. The influence of the order on the Waldbreitbach area was significant. While the original building was built in the mid-13th century, the building, which still exists today, dates from the early 18th century. The cross is the symbol of the order. The millwheel is alluding to the oil and grain mills, some of which were still in operation until the middle of the 20th century. Today, the working method is demonstrated at a restored oil mill. The wheel is also a symbol for the small-scale crafts, which still shape the economic structure of the community today.
